ZULAIKHA PATEL: Standing Up for Young Black Girls

ZULAIKHA PATEL: She has changed school of thrice because of her hair.



Zulaikha Patel is standing up for young black girls who have chosen to live with their natural hair irrespective of what their Afro's may speak of them.
The thirteen year old is not daunted by the times she has been put in detention at school or the number of times she has had to change school because of her hair. Zulaikha Patel who is from Pretoria in South Africa is a representation of a blooming strong black girl who plans to rewrite history to accept natural hair for what it is and to respect the people who own the hair and wear it.
Though described by her Elder sister Amira Patel as Fragile after she had been bullied about her hair at school.She says she is happy about the bravery and courage Zulaikha has displayed by standing up for her herself and other girls who wear natural hair.
