Stop Playing Small.

Dear Friends, how have you been faring amidst the lockdown.
Have you been living everyday with hope and enthusiasm for the future?
Today's blog post was informed by a recent conversation I had with a friend.

'Stop Playing Small', I believe you have heard people throw this phrase around.

What does it mean to play small?

Playing Small could mean downplaying your abilities and skills. It could mean that as an individual who has been blessed with alot of talents and gifts, you do not utilise these potentials or you are yet to maximise the gifts you possess.

When you play small, it is often as a result of limiting beliefs, you think you should do little because it may offend someone or some people.

One can play small because they have been confined by gender modesty norms, which only encourage a certain gender to revel in their abilities and push for success.

Whatever, may be the reason for playing small. I just want to encourage you today. I would like you to know it's time to put a stop to this self-depreciating behaviour.

It's time to embrace all of your abilities, skills, gifts, talents whatever extraordinary quality you possess. It is time to put it to good use. It is time to fully express it.

The Bible's parable of the servants who were given talents by the Master relays how some of us make use of our gifts. The servant who found favour in the sight of the Master was the one who used his gifts to reproduce more than he was given.

Dear Friend, it is time to reproduce what the Almighty has given you. Put it to full measure. Illuminate everywhere with your gifts. Child of God stop playing small.

Have a Blessed Day!
