How to Discover Your Unique Value

 

How do you discover your unique value?

What is your unique value you might ask? Your unique value is that skill or talent you are passionate about. 

It is something that readily and easily comes to you. It is one that makes you fulfilled even if you don't make so much financial wealth out of it.

It is a skill that enriches you, such that you don't wait for outside validation or compliments to keep you consistent.

This unique value is hidden in the things you love to do for yourself and others.

So, you ask how do I find this unique value?

Take a pen and paper, write out five things you know well to be good at or have been praised for.

Then look at each skill and ask “Which one do I love to do but I still find it difficult to complete?”

 Once you identify it, strike it off the list. 

Do the same to the next skill and strike it off. You should have three skills left. Look at these remaining three skills and ask yourself.

“If I don't get paid or complimented to do any of these skills but would gladly still love to do it?” 

Bear in mind, this skill is one that if you were to be woken from sleep to accomplish you would easily execute it. Which one would that be?

Identify this skill and circle it.

This skill you have circled is your unique value. It is a natural talent and it means you don't have to do so much to excel at it.

Begin to work on it.
