Life brings the good, the bad and the ugly but to survive we must choose to strive and never give up, hoping for the best and believing in the future.
Little wonder why the saying ’when life gives you lemons, make lemonade’ inspire us to be strong and optimistic despite life’s mysterious situations.
Put yourself in the shoes of the poor Ijaw boy Tari who born and breed in a small village Gbarou from the eastern part of Nigeria finds himself tied to the shackles of life’s intricate circumstances.
Tari’s father Firstman abandoned his mother Tamara when he was eight years old and his sister Perere two. His father absconded with another woman outside matrimony leaving his legal wife and children to suffer without pity.
After a long wait for his father Firstman, Tari’s mother Tamara receives sad and shocking news about the demise of her estranged husband and his illegitimate family in a boat accident.
Tamara picks up the pieces of her life and moves on with her two children Tari and Perere.

Writing Style
This book is written in a second hand writing style with soft language .It is a work of fiction and the story was inspired by the writer’s experiences in the Southern  Ijaw area of Bayelsa State.

Evaluation
I find the characters in the story very real despite the book being a fiction. As the first book the Author is publishing, I think she has done a good job bringing all characters to life and making them a reality. The story is based on a real life day to day experiences of  people living in harsh life conditions especially in rural areas. These people don’t have access and opportunities their urban counterparts have!
Definitely a book to read!
